 | ..is inquisitive. | Sep 6, 2005 |
I know I'm quite lazy to blog, but I'll when write when I have something to write. Blogging requires thinking too, launching into a tirade against somebody or something is just not me. The author of this blog is inquisitive, sometimes to the point of 'wasting' her time in surfing Wikipedia and whatnots if anything ever crossed her mind. nosy parkers have been here, trying to sniff out something. Hahaha.. When you feel all alone in this world And there’s nobody to count your tears Just remember, no matter where you are Allah knows Allah knows When you carrying a monster load And you wonder how far you can go With every step on that road that you take Allah knows Allah knows
CHORUS No matter what, inside or out There’s one thing of which there’s no doubt Allah knows Allah knows And whatever lies in the heavens and the earth Every star in this whole universe Allah knows Allah knows
When you find that special someone Feel your whole life has barely begun You can walk on the moon, shout it to everyone Allah knows Allah knows
When you gaze with love in your eyes Catch a glimpse of paradise And you see your child take the first breath of life Allah knows Allah knows When you lose someone close to your heart See your whole world fall apart And you try to go on but it seems so hard Allah knows Allah knows
You see we all have a path to choose Through the valleys and hills we go With the ups and the downs, never fret never frown Allah knows Allah knows
CHORUS (x2)
BRIDGE: Every grain of sand, In every desert land, He knows. Every shade of palm, Every closed hand, He knows. Every sparkling tear, On every eyelash, He knows. Every thought I have, And every word I share, He knows. Allah knows. | Allah Knows | | Allah Knows | | Zain Bhika | |

An action movie that makes you think. This is the plot taken from Yahoo Movies.
Against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, a young working-class woman named Evey is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as "V." Profoundly complex, V is at once literary, flamboyant, tender and intellectual, a man dedicated to freeing his fellow citizens from those who have terrorized them into compliance. He is also bitter, revenge-seeking, lonely and violent, driven by a personal vendetta. In his quest to free the people of England from the corruption and cruelty that have poisoned their government, V condemns the tyrannical nature of their appointed leaders and invites his fellow citizens to join him in the shadows of Parliament of November the 5th--Guy Fawkes Day. On that day in 1605, Guy Fawkes was discovered in a tunnel beneath Parliament with 36 barrels of gunpowder. He and his co-conspirators had engineered the treasonous "Gunpowder Plot" in response to the tyranny of their government under James I. Fawkes and his fellow saboteurs were hanged, drawn and quartered, and their plan to take down their government never came to pass. In the spirit of that rebellion, in remembrance of that day, V vows to carry out the plot that Fawkes was executed for attempting on November 5th in 1605: he will blow up Parliament. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious past, she also discovers the truth about herself--and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plan to ignite a revolution, bringing freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption (Yahoo Movies)
I still don't agree with V's action of taking laws into his own hands (by killing those who made him & the country suffer). Natalie Portman's performance was superb though.
A couple of days ago I was browsing around Borders with the intention of checking the price of a book for my bro. I came across quite a lot of interesting books covering a range of topics. One particular book that caught my attention was one entitled Engrish.
This picture book humoursly depicts the misuse of the English language in posters, ads, menus, simply just anywhere in Japan. Hence, Engrish because Japanese languange do not have an equivalent of 'R'. I had a great (mental) laugh flipping thru the pages of the book. The author has even set up a website dedicated to his new & funny discoveries of the misuse of English in Japan. Really funny, check it out. He does not intend to mock the Japanese though. Once in KL I spotted a flea market with its bahasa traslation written on its sign- 'Pasar Kutu' . Err..ade sesape ke nak beli kutu? What's its Bahasa equivalent anyway?

| Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Animation |
This computer-animated movie is about a lion cub who is accidentally transported to the jungle. So his father embarks on a rescue mission along with his comrades from NY Zoo. In the jungle, the father rediscovers his 'lionhood' the thought he already had.
One star only? Yeah, it's a bit boring. maybe because the characters (animals) are similar to Madagascar (also boring in my point of view). Disney animations used to be quite musical and the songs were usually infused with humour or cheerfulness, but the songs in this animation were sampled from adult bands, like Lifehouse if I'm not mistaken. Although the lyrics of the songs described the scene quite well, I personally think that the music should be more 'sing-along-able' (or something like that). Not that I really wanna sing along though. The point is if I was a kid, I would not remember anything significant from The Wild, unlike Charlie and the Choc factory, which my lil bro could not stop singing the cute 'Willy Wonka' song from this movie.
The good thing was that the animations were superb. The animals' fur looked real.
Wasted a couple of megs of my download quota.

A picture is certainly worth a thousand words. At least to me, this one is. The composition of this picture not only reflects the state of my mind at this moment; which is of course much more complicated than this picture, it also reflects a hankering for creativity, unleashed by the increasing pressure I'm experiencing right now as well as irony. So, I guess there are enough clues for you guys to decipher the actual meaning of the whole subtlety illustrated in this shot.
Salam Aidilfitri

I just detest this attitude of thinking that the whole world revolves around him/her, that other people's action must conform or must be moulded to suit his/her selfish actions. The consequences of their actions that affect others don't matter, as long as they get what they want. Their needs are so central that they must be fulfilled, must be prioritized without needing to consider other people.
To these people, please wake up and kick the habit!
I have so many things that I wanna write in here, yet I have so little time to do so. Can I just have a super-high-tech blog that can selectively transcribe the thoughts directly from my mind into words? Lately, I haven't been writing much, just no time to construct proper sentences here.
I kinda miss my creative era. (Yes, I did have one!). When was that? I guess it was in the early 2000s..maybe circa 2001,2,3, or 4? I certainly don't have a clue as to the factors that have eroded my creativity.
Hopefully, it will be revived soon.
Alhamdulillah, I'm feeling better now. Pg td sakit tekak, loya, bloated and agak panas. So, I lied down in bed for almost the whole day. Did a bit of prac A worksheet. Idle and unproductive. Urgghh..
Beriftaar nasi lemak + a whole array of delicious food. Alhamdulillah. Then berterawih di common room village.
I was reminded to call home, thx to the tazkirah during the iftaar. I used to call home EVERY week last year, but this has been reduced to once in a fortnight or once in three weeks this year due to this neverending hecticness. Good to know that everybody at home is in pink health. Everyone was at home except 'the crabby' (name sebenar dirahsiakan). He's having his SAT now. Hope everything goes well for you crabby. InsyaAllah.
This is a summary for today. Malas nak reka ayat bunga2 daun2.
1. Tak sempat sahur (yg semakin awal). 2. The nite b4 mkn x kenyang sgt, agak masuk angin la jugak 3. Hari yg sungguh panas, 35C was it? Enzyme pun byk denatured, so penat + dehydrated 4. Hari yg sgt pjg 9-5.30 with a 1hr-break only. 5. Prac partner yg ttbe meninggal kan aku sesorg (buat kali kedua) utk siapkan all those tasks. Sam asked me "Are you OK doing all those stuff without a partner? If u need a hand, juz call me, alrite?". I was like "Yeah, I think so. I hope so". Angela asked "Why does she always leave so early?" I was like "How am I supposed to know?". Surprisingly, I didn't really feel THAT pissed off which maybe, I would have been, if it was not Ramadhan now. I guess, ramadhan really teaches you self-control, at least for me=). 6. Wajib prepare utk test biochem n poster presentation esok.
Ok, I need to engage myself in "beautiful" biochem (Lynn Rogers, 2006).
Baru tambah 7. Seorg seller eBay yg lambat benar reply soklan aku. Dah nak dekat 2 weeks dah ni. Nnt, customer lari karang baru tau.

"Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free."
Although this is an old movie (1994), it's worth a watch. Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) a banker, discovers himself after he is sentenced to life in prison. In prison, he slowly befriends Red (Morgan Freeman) and a couple of inmates. Soon, Andy also becomes popular with the prison guards, including the vicious Captain Hadley who offers him protection against the jail's rougher convicts in exchange for financial counseling. The prison warden also takes advantage of Andy's banking knowledge by exchanging privileges for "creative" bookkeeping. Over a twenty year period, Andy is able to maintain his sanity and dignity in prison not by physical force but by mental force. His smarts and confidence keep him going and he is able to teach the other prisoners that hope is the ultimate means of survival.
Shawshank Redemption encompasses friendships, hardships, hopes, and dreams. It's a really smart movie, deeply emotional, makes you think. There are no special effects in this simple movie, yet the narration and acting are very powerful.
Thanks to Zaid for recommending this movie. | Category: | | Appetizers & Snacks | | Style: | | American | | Servings: | | Depends |
Description: -Easy, but mind you-it's not quick. -Since this dish uses the oven for a prolonged period, it is not recommended for those who don't wanna blow their electricity bills. Haha~ -If you want the potatoes to be crispy, don't wrap them in aluminium foil.
Ingredients: Potatoes (large ones) Salt n pepper Tuna Finely chopped coriander leaves
Directions: 1. Wash the potatoes 2. Prick the potatoes with a fork 2. Sprinkle salt & pepper on the potatoes evenly 4. Bake in 200C for 40 minutes 5. Then, take out the potatoes-they should be quite tender now, and make a vertical incision (be careful not to cut the potato into two) 6. Stuff the tuna in. Sprinkle the finely chopped coriander leaves on top of the stuffed tuna. 7. Continue baking for 10-15 minutes. 8. Best served hot from the oven. Yesterday, after watching some police documentary-cum-reality TV show on TV about a 'potential' bomb threat which actually turned out to be a false alarm, I could say that the world has become more paranoid than ever before. In that show police were suspicious of a toolbox left in the middle of a busy road as they suspect there might be a bomb inside it. Coincidentally (or not) that road happened to be the road that would be taken by PakLah and his entourage after a conference in Melbourne. To cut the story short, the bomb squad (who ironically did not wear super-protective clothing when they inspected the box in situ), did not find any explosive devices inside the box. Hahaha..Buat penat je risau psl seketul toolbox terlantar di tgh jln yg sibuk yg cume ade basic tools..hmm, how paranoid the world is nowadays. Should every 'strange' looking object lying on the road be treated as if it's some kinda threat? Take another example, the utter chaos in Heathrow Airport London last month as a result of an alleged 'terror plot' that involved liquid explosives which were to be detonated using an electrical device such as a mobile phone. Flights were delayed seriously, people were annoyed & restless because of the strigent security measures that had just been carried out on that day. Liquids were banned on board the aircraft and a hell lot more of rules and regulations. Most people who were stranded in London said that the extreme security measure was a nuisance. Vital security measures or just extreme paranoia? We can no longer run from the tentacles of paranoia. Look at the most of the houses in Malaysia which are enclosed by large, heavy and menacing iron gates. And no, that's not enough, grilles must be installed, alarm must be installed too, CCTV? yeah u name it. Anything that would make the house impenetrable to thieves must be installed. Unfortunately, despite all these tough barriers, the house could still be broken into. This happened to a person whom I know personally. I pity the family as they had invested quite a lot in these security measures and yet, due to the break-in, had also suffered a huge loss. It might be true that the world is no longer safe, but to what extent should security measures be implemented? Or are we becoming increasingly paranoid? Are we gonna hunt down "suspected" terrorists like chasing a wild goose? It seems like terror police in the UK are doing so
I really like this video, it's very cute and the choreography is impressive. Watch it! I wonder why there isn't there any kids' movie made in Malaysia. Maybe, not enough budget to produce one. Boring aa asyik lawak2 spastik je. Sesekali, tukarla genre sikit. I'm sure there are a lot of talented kids in Malaysia. Byk pulak la membebel. Just enjoy the video la.

Ok, I'm not a tech buff to teach you guys about how to insert counter in Multiply. Most of you guys know how to do so, which is good. I'm writing this to shed light on this simple yet confusing-for-technologically-challenged-people-like-me task.
So, say you want to insert a counter into your Welcome Message (like I did).
1. Firstly, go to a site that offers a free counter. I recommend StatCounter. This site allows you to customize the appearance of your counter (font color, background colour). Also because, you can exclude your own IP address so that the counter won't count you. If you don't have an account, do register first.
2. After registering, you can customize the appearance of your counter. As with all other counters, you can even set the starting count. If you think you wanna appear 'popular' just put 10 000 for starting count. Who cares, eh?
3. Now, The Trick is when you arrive at Code Options , do check the HTML ONLY counter box. When it comes to the Web page editor, choose "No..I want the default install guide''.
4. Now, you should have the ready-to-paste code. Just select starting from <a href......up to....</a> and paste it into your welcome message if you want it to be there.
Hope that helps.
Cheers:)
